The latest technology in reliable high-speed internet. All the time. Anywhere.

Staying connected is more important than ever before with people expecting unlimited, fast and secure connectivity wherever they are in the world. With Online Systems we can make this a reality where this just isn’t possible with traditional WiFi services.

Mobile Private Network serves as an alternative to WiFi where constraints mean it simply can’t support the capacity needed for a seamless connected experience.

In 2020, working with our partner Freshwave we delivered a world first by bringing a Private Mobile Network to a UK holiday park using spectrum that Vodafone agreed to share.

Improving connectivity for everyone, everywhere

Greg Morton, Managing Director at Online Systems, commented: “Using small cells rather than traditional WiFi means installing far less infrastructure, so it’s less disruptive to the resorts we’ve worked with to date and with very little underground cabling needed with a network like this, you don’t run the same risks of encountering unmapped utilities during installation. Not only do the resort’s guests enjoy improved connectivity, but it also benefits the corporate services on site, such as maintenance and housekeeping. We’re looking forward to rolling out this service across other sites.”

So how does it work?

Outdoor small cell technology brings 4G data speeds to each lodge within the resort via a small antenna on each lodge. A sim based access point inside then distributes the signal via WiFi. The network uses Vodafone’s 2600MHz frequency spectrum, with Vodafone continuing to use the same spectrum in areas with high capacity mobile needs, such as town centres.

With this level of connectivity, stability, and security our Mobile Private Network solution is a clever option for industries such as agriculture, holiday parks, manufacturing, logistics, and off-shore industries.
