Voice over Internet Protocol (like “digital”) is a generic term that encompasses a wide range of products and services. In simple terms, it is sending voice calls over data infrastructure.

Who are BT Openreach?

BT Openreach own the entire UK telephone and broadband network.  We work alongside BT Openreach to keep you connected.

What is the difference between a Hosted and On-Site Telephone System?

In recent times, analogue phone systems have been replaced by digital phone systems and are still considered to be a traditional phone system i.e making a phone call via a phone line. An alternative to this solution is a VoIP line – Voice Over Internet Protocol which uses the internet as it’s data connection. Older VoIP phone systems use on-site hardware to manage calls but newer systems have moved onto software based solutions.

Digital phone lines are ideal if you only need a simple communication function and/or want to keep your call data separate. VoIP systems allow a more complex solution and can integrate with business software such as CRM systems.
