Results from our Charity of the Year campaign for Jigsaw Children’s Hospice

We’ve officially wrapped up our Charity of the Year fundraising campaign for Jigsaw Children’s Hospice – smashing our goal by raising over £5400, covering over two-and-a-half full days of the Hospice’s fundraising needs for the year.

Our fundraisers throughout 2018 included everything from entering the Great North Run and climbing Scafell Pike, to raffling extra leave and hosting regular ‘dress-down Fridays’, plus offering a smartphone as a prize for a local fundraiser – not to mention running a canteen in our staff kitchen! Our Christmas Party also doubled as a charity race night and was a big success.

“Our approach this year was to keep plenty of small fundraisers on the go all year alongside the bigger events,” says Beccy Griffiths, our Head of Service. “It’s great to see how much it adds up when you bring it all together. There are so many ideas for companies to get creative with their fundraisers and it’s a great feeling to give back to your community and contribute a little bit to a really worthy cause.”

“We are delighted that Online Systems has been raising money in aid of Jigsaw over the last 12 months,” says Natalie Bingham, Jigsaw’s Corporate Relationship Coordinator. “The money they have raised really will make a huge difference to the care, support and activities provided to children and young adults across Cumbria with life-limiting illnesses. We hope the Online Systems team have had a fun and enjoyable year of fundraising.”

Well done to the whole Online Systems team for a great year of events and a fantastic result for such a worthy cause. We’re looking forward to announcing our 2019 Charity of the Year shortly.

Valentine’s Day was one of the days we funded this year – so we paid a visit to see some of the the good work Jigsaw does every day.
